Hey Ladies!!!!
The last few weeks I have been so busy. Sorry I haven’t blogged sooner. I recently moved, new beginnings, still in transition, and great opportunities being presented. I’m feeling the fear and proceeding anyway by all means. I conducted an Instagram Live Interview with such a great woman by the name of Kyesha (@unapologeticallykyesha). I’ll post this week for those who have missed it. It was so much fun. Expect more Instagram live videos in the coming weeks. Follow me here if you don’t already (@_aqueenwithpurpose).
During this interview, I was asked what was the name of the book I’m currently reading? A viewer then proceeded to ask me for a list of books I recommend so I decided to write a blog just for you. I’m truly a bookworm and a personal library for family and friends. These are just a few books that have added extreme value to my life and I pray they add much value to yours.
I’m currently reading “Believe Bigger, Discover the Path to Your Life Purpose” by Marshawn Evans Daniel. The transparency she provides her readers is amazing. I found myself reading page after page, draw dropping, gasping, agreeing with many things and understanding the pain as well. I highly recommend every woman to read this book and when you complete the book give it to a friend to read as well. I believe there is POWER when women share their stories. It helps other women heal and understand the obstacles they are currently facing they aren’t alone. We must do more of this.
I have a lot of books on my shelf, so I will provide my top ten books you must read. Within the coming weeks, I will provide books I plan to read for 2019.
My recommendations in no particular order:
- Girl Wash Your Face by Rachel Hollis
- Don’t Settle for Safe by Sarah Jakes Roberts
- Uninvited Living Loved When You Feel Less Than, Left Out and Lonely by Lysa TerKeurst
- The 21 Day Financial Fast by Michelle Singletary
- Never Eat Alone by Keith Ferrazzi
- Present over Perfect by Shauna Niequist
- Real Money Answers for Every Woman by Patrice Washington
- Talk Like Ted by Carmine Gallo
- You are a Badass at Making Money by Jen Sincero
- When God Doesn’t Fix It by Laura Story
Each books above has added great perspective, increased my skills and knowledge within multiple areas of my life and career. Never be afraid to research books on a particular topic and dig in. That’s the best way to learn.
Again, I pray the books above help you is a positive way! Please share, and let me know your thoughts once you completed the book!
